It's not always warmer in the south.....

Shelly made this banner for me from the Minnesota fabrics this last year.  I love putting out decorations of snowmen and such, here in Minnesota we seem to have more winter lately than anything else.  My brother lives in Hackensack and friends in International Falls which is almost on the Canada border.  The south pun is for them.  Here it's just cold now the snow (all 2 feet of it) came in the middle of December and is still around we could do without any more in the new future..

New Christmas 2011 gifts done in a flash

When in a scrapbook store don't forget to ask if you see a creative projects simple directions and  you may be able to make one without taking a class.  These shaped styrofoam cones were available right at the store and were covered with ribbon by a quilting pin with the plastic round ball.  The next ribbon was placed to hide them with the exception of the top and I made this cute ribbon by attaching one pin on the ribbon and then leaving a 1 inch space and attaching the ribbon again on the pin when you do this over and over it makes a ribbon.   

Happy New Years

Well here goes..... I am going to start blogging.  Instead of a new years resolution I would like to finish some quilting projects, catch up with my scrapbooking and maybe loose some weight now after I have fixed my left knee.  You see I have been suffering for over a year and finally in November went in and demanded they replace my knee.  It has something to do with the metal device only lasting so long and me being so young.  I don't feel so young anymore but want to be able to continue with my normal routine for a little longer.  Hoping you enjoy it here.  I will be looking for some cute pictures and interesting topic so you will want to not only hang around here awhile but suggest this site to your friends.  Enjoy and stay safe tonight.  kathy
